Unfortunately, our prolonged vacation has come to and end. 3 weeks without an income has started to take a toll and the semester started Monday...so here's what's going down.
Richard is taking a full load with some pretty tough classes. Some political theory courses: an Intro to political theory and a American constitutional theory class, a political science class on Politics and War, and a Business Russian class. He's pretty stressed already, but once we get into the semester, he'll get into the swing of things. I'm only taking 12 credits this semester, I'm taking 2 history classes, a Women in History class and a American Revolution class, the same Politics and War class with Richard, and my Senior seminar class. And...I graduate this semester! Which really doesn't mean anything except I have to start studying harder for the GRE...
Besides school and work, not much has been happening. My family took my brother to the MTC yesterday, which was both hard and amazing! He's so prepared and will make an excellent missionary. It is funny how the people there are always making corny jokes to make people stop crying, but the most hilarious part to me was the outdated "MTC Life" video they show. Straight out of the 70's. Departing with my closest sibling was definitely a hard thing to do, but he is so excited to be heading out and excited to serve the Lord. My brother is freakin' awesome and a genius (in everything, but mostly in Constitutional Law), for those of you who don't know him.
Other than that, Richard and I both start work. I am back to the old Firehouse, and since Richard hates job hunting, I hooked him up with a job at Firehouse too. I also start a real job (!) on Monday in the Institute of Political Economy as the director's assistant. Yay for me!
We'll keep you updated as the semester progresses...oh, and for those of you who didn't know, we're engaged now. Which is kinda crazy, but we're crazy so does it really surprise you?! As soon as we find out about this State Department craziness we'll try to set a date. We'll keep ya posted!
